Community Theatre at Mayo Center for the Performing Arts
Community Theatre at Mayo Center for the Performing Arts in Morristown was built in 1937 by Walter Reade as a movie house. Opera New Jersey first performed at the recently renovated and expanded Community Theatre in February 2008 for our Winter Opera.
The orchestra level of The Community Theatre is wheelchair accessible, but not the balcony level and there is no elevator to the second floor. Handicap parking is available in front of the theatre approximately two hours before each performance based on availability.
The theatre is equipped with an assistive listening system that improves sound clarity and amplification. The light-weight headsets can be borrowed free of charge. Please see house management upon arrival at the theatre.
Performance programs are available in large print. Please ask the house manager when arriving at the theatre.
